The Asian Art Council brings together individuals who are passionate in learning more about Asian Art and fostering closer engagement with the Norton’s extraordinary Collection.

At its heart, Asian Art Council is driven by the enthusiasm, vision, and leadership of its supporters, whose commitment safeguards the Norton’s Asian Art Collection for the enjoyment and educational enrichment of future generations.

Asian Art Council benefits directly from the guidance of Shawn Yuan, Elizabeth B. McGraw Senior Curator of Asian Art. Participation in the Council is made possible with an annual gift of $1,500 (fully tax-deductible), which provides essential support to the Museum’s acquisition efforts and Asian Art program each year.

In recognition of this generosity, the Norton is pleased to offer Asian Art Council supporters an exclusive annual slate of enriching art opportunities, including private collection visits, lectures and conversations with artists and leading art world scholars, social gatherings with likeminded enthusiasts and those eager to learn more about Asian Art, and more.

The opportunity to participate in the Norton’s Curatorial Councils is exclusive to Norton Circle, Chairman’s Circle, and Luminary Circle Supporters and the Board of Trustees. Council support is made possible above and beyond annual Museum membership. A Norton Circle-level Museum membership ($2,500+) is required to join Curatorial Councils at the Norton.
