The Modern Art Council (MAC) brings together individuals who are passionate in learning more about Modern Art by fostering closer engagement with the Norton’s extraordinary Collection.

The MAC is driven by the enthusiasm, vision, and leadership of its supporters, whose commitment safeguards the Museum’s Modern Collection for the enjoyment and enrichment for generations to come.

MAC benefits directly from the guidance of Regina Palm, Ph.D., Harold and Anne Berkley Smith Senior Curator of Modern Art. Participation in the Modern Art Council is made possible with an annual gift of $10,000 (fully tax-deductible), which provides essential support to the Museum’s acquisition efforts and the Modern Art programs each year.

In recognition of this generosity, the Norton is pleased to offer MAC supporters with an exclusive annual slate of enriching art opportunities, including private collection visits, lectures and conversations with artists and leading art world scholars, social gatherings with likeminded enthusiasts and those eager to learn more about Modern Art, and more.

The opportunity to participate in the Norton’s Curatorial Councils is exclusive to Norton Circle and Chairman’s Circle Members and the Board of Trustees. Council support is made possible above and beyond annual Museum membership. A Norton Circle-level Museum membership ($2,500+) is required to join Curatorial Councils at the Norton.
