Contemporary Art Council Leadership

Curatorial Friends

The Contemporary Art Council – Leadership (CAC – Leadership) goes above and beyond in supporting the Contemporary Art Council's contributions. The Leadership Circle provides crucial additional funding for the Museum's efforts to preserve, expand, and maintain a world-class collection of Contemporary art. It also sustains programs, projects, and activities led by the Glenn W. & Cornelia T. Bailey Senior Curator of Contemporary Art.

Program Details

The Contemporary Art Council – Leadership (CAC – Leadership) brings together individuals passionate about Contemporary Art to foster closer engagement with the Norton’s extraordinary Collection.

CAC – Leadership is driven by the enthusiasm, vision, and leadership of its supporters, whose commitment safeguards the Museum’s Contemporary Art Collection for the enjoyment and enrichment of future generations.

CAC – Leadership benefits directly from the guidance of Arden Sherman, Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Senior Curator of Contemporary Art. Participation in CAC – Leadership is made possible with an annual gift of $15,000 (fully tax-deductible), which provides essential support to the Museum’s acquisition efforts and Contemporary Art program each year.

In recognition of this generosity, the Norton offers CAC – Leadership supporters an annual slate of enriching art opportunities, including private collection visits, lectures, conversations with artists and leading art scholars, social gatherings for enthusiasts and those eager to learn more about Contemporary Art, and more. Additionally, the Leadership Circle is invited to an exclusive private event in appreciation for their commitment to the Collection.

The opportunity to participate in the Norton’s Curatorial Councils is exclusive to Norton Circle and Chairman’s Circle Members and the Board of Trustees. Council support is made possible above and beyond annual Museum membership. A Norton Circle-level Museum membership ($2,500+) is required to join Curatorial Councils at the Norton.
