Edlavitch Lecture Series


With the inaugural lecture taking place in December of 2021, the Edlavitch Lecture Series was created to bring high profile lectures to the Norton each year given by speakers including artists, cultural leaders, architects, designers, and art historians, among others. Previous lecturers include Lord Burlington, Emmanuel Duchamp, Agustin Artega, Max Hollein, Anna Somers Cocks, Arthur Wheelock, Jeff Rosenheim, and Kayin Feldman.

Enjoy a talk with Axel Rüger, Director of the Frick Collection in New York City and a specialist in the work of Johannes Vermeer and the Delft School, as he speaks about Art and Life in Rembrandt’s Time: Masterpieces from the Leiden Collection.
