Educator as Boxer: Exploring Strike Fast, Dance Lightly

Join the Norton Museum of Art for a teacher workshop inspired by the special exhibition Strike fast, Dance Lightly: Artists on Boxing. Learn about works of art by artists such as Jeffrey Gibson and Judy Chicago, who compare their art practice and identity to boxing, and consider how educators often face the same challenges. After visiting the galleries with the Museum’s educators, participants will enjoy a reflection and implementation session through a hands-on art activity, led by a professional instructor.

This workshop is designed for K - 12 educators from all subject areas and is eligible for credit.

This is a FREE program.

Online registration available October 8.

Space is limited; online registration required. Walk-ins welcome if tickets remain on the day of the program. Registration opens one month in advance.
