The Contemporary Art Council (CAC) brings together individuals who are passionate about Contemporary Art in order to foster closer engagement with the Norton’s extraordinary Collection. 

CAC is driven by the enthusiasm, vision, and leadership of its supporters, whose commitment safeguards the Museum’s Contemporary Art Collection for the enjoyment and enrichment of future generations.  

CAC benefits directly from the guidance of Arden Sherman, Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Senior Curator of Contemporary Art. Participation in CAC is made possible with an annual gift of $10,000 / $15,000 for the Leadership Circle (fully tax-deductible), which provides essential support to the Museum’s acquisition efforts and Contemporary Art programs each year. 

In recognition of this generosity, the Norton is pleased to offer CAC supporters with an exclusive annual slate of enriching art opportunities, including private collection visits, lectures and conversations with artists and leading art world scholars, social gatherings with likeminded enthusiasts and those eager to learn more about Contemporary Art, and more. 

The opportunity to participate in the Norton’s Curatorial Councils is exclusive to Norton Circle and Chairman’s Circle Members and the Board of Trustees. Council support is made possible above and beyond annual Museum membership. A Norton Circle-level Museum membership ($2,500+) is required to join Curatorial Councils at the Norton.
